What a bunch of BS

Apparently the whole BS from the Dervaes family and the repressiveness of or URBAN homestead activities is reach new lows/ As you all know the Dervaes bullshit spread to Denver as they are trying to shut down the Denver Urban Homesteaders.. Well F that.
If I want to call myself and Urban Homesteader it because of a bunc of whackos In CA named Dervaes. Its because it is me and mine.
Now it apparently is in Oaklnad where the thought police is haraasing a woman for farming and keeping some small livestock on her own property. See this article. Apparentl the guvt ow thinks they can control what you do on your own property. And what do our fellow "yuppie radical shits" say. Work withing the system and get the rules changed.. Fthat.
FIGHT NOW AND REBEL.
Your guvt is lying to you about radiation, the economy is in a tanker and almost all hope is lost. Do what you want.. For the assbites who might be reading tis from the LHS enjoy.
I am tired of being apologetic for your corruption and BS.

according to a buddy over a survivalblog.com

How does a person qualify as a potential domestic terrorist?
According to that author, Based on the training he has attended, here are characteristics that qualify, accordsing to the DHS:

* Expressions of libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)
* Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership, holding a CCW permit)
* Survivalist literature (fictional books such as "Patriots" and "One Second After" are mentioned by name)
* Self-sufficiency (stockpiling food, ammo, hand tools, medical supplies)
* Fear of economic collapse (buying gold and barter items)
* Religious views concerning the book of Revelation (apocalypse, anti-Christ)
* Expressed fears of Big Brother or big government
* Homeschooling
* Declarations of Constitutional rights and civil liberties

Funnt I thought thes were ideas to be proud of... How times have changed

when life hands out lemons

make lemonade
Last week the lowere heating element n the stove did a number and went byebye. Gotalove modern tech as the new art is gonna cost about the price of a new/ used oven. Then on SUnday evening the dryer stopeed tumbling. Heck I only just got it last year for about $50. I have gone thru 5-6 dryers since the Mrs and I have been married.. She uses it daily..
I guess we will have to start looking for replacements for both..

On SUnday I planted some seeds and wouldnt you know that it would snow on Sunday night and again also on Monday night. Then be in the 50s during both days.. Typical radiactive weather.. Hopefully though this will give the little seeds the moisture they need to germinate.. W shall see.

Friday evening video

Wee I came home this evening and am testing the video camera to make sure we got the problems fixed. Sure looks like we did. It may take a bit to get the titles and credits back online but it will be done..

Enjoy

what happens when you run out

I guess you have 2 choices. Do without or find a way to obtain it.. Depending on the item in question I guess you have 2 choices.. But when it comes to coffee I don't. Thoug I had mentioned to the Mrs yesterday to have one of the kids pick up a can or 2 when they go over to Wallie world I guess it wasnt heard. Because when I got up this morning there was enough for half a pot.. Not hardly enough to get old Trash's ass moving in the morning. So I gulped down a cup and went for a walk about 5am over to the Wallie for a can of coffee and some butter. I thoroughly enjoyed the little jaunt .

I came back to the stead all happy dappy and made a full pot of coffee which Mrs T and I enjoyed. I then went to take my twice a week shower with Dr Robs lavendar and hemp body soap and I was ready to start the friday. Hod on a sec though. When I went out to move the trash cans to the street I heard the sshshssh sound coming from the water heater closet.. A nice littel spritzer was emanating from a connector. So got some more coffee and made the fix.. Took about 10 minutes and so , waranting a cup of coffee I enjoyed that and haded off to Babylon.
BTW the image is of some daffodills i spotted the other day..

interesting Monday

After spending Sunday evening with a bbq of fresh hamburgers, french fries and apple soda the family went into relax mode. Waking up on Monday morning the Radnet readings for Denver were over 200 cpm. Scary stuff. Stayed in the house until the levels dropped down to the 70s and then proceeded to get some work done. Mixed up sme fresh soil for the starter trays and will now let them settle a bit before starting some lettuces and cool crops.
A bit of a damper hit the stead on Sunday night when a module on the stove decided it was time to die. The stove is the originl one that was in the 'stead 7 years ago when we bought it. And it gets used almost daily. Looks like another repair on the list or depending on the cost time for a new stove for the stead. I kind of like thse new stainless steel culinary ones that Mrs T is always awgling over.
Anyhow its back to Babylon this morning. I wish I could check the radiation levels chart but the monitor for the EPA in Denver is down for reding quality monitoring. I wonder what that means..
Have a glowing day?

Supermoon wasnt so super dooper

I wasnt impressed with the supermoon phenom las night. I saw it rise fairly early and it was nice . I looked again before bed and it still wasnt that large. I have seen it larger/ I then snapped this pic this morning aroun 5ish as it was emanating its light into our bedroom window.
Anyhow now that i have warm temps and some fresh dirt in the seed trays I think today will see some new seeds getting planted. Collard greens turnip greens and some lettuces.

price of gas goes up I eat more beans

Even if the price of gas goes up I still have the bike and trailer. The cost per mile is free, except for my energy. And that trailer can hold a cuppla hundred dollars worth of provisions.
BTW the older boy built the bike for me about 5 years ago. I added the baskets and the trailer..

Saturday diggin

Twas nice and warm this morning so I emptied the compost bin into the squashpatch2 that I created last year..

Squash patch2 has the leaves on top and some unrotted stuff but alas it will be turned in or removed before planting. I also added some into squash patch original and turned some soil in.. I can feel spring coming.

I also dumpster dove some flagstone and timbers from places that have moved out during the winter. So I am beginning to get the garden ready for spring.. I am gettin excited about it even though the nuke shit may ruin it or contaminate it.. We can only pray for the best.

the Cigarette is dead

No it is not. I beg to differ. There are kazillions of cigarettes out there just waiting to be smoked and enjoyed by countless individuals. I wish the people who do this would research their topic a tad better.

URBAN HOMESTEAD lab is back up

Apparently part of my conspiracy was correct. When the service tech came out and checked my setup there was a filter placed on my connection at the Comcast box due to a bleeding of signal caused by a bad tv cable.. Why did they not tell each other or me that info while I spent almost a week with their on phone techs.
Alas though I am back up and a new video is forthcoming.
I AM AN URBAN HOMESTEADER
