Here is the story I saw this morning that inspired the posting today.
Its an interesting debate here at the stead also. The girl kids think that a shower a day is a necessity. The wife thinks about every two days or so. And us boys think about twice a week is fine. Both for health reason and the environment. Though I gotta say honestly there are times , if its real cold that Trash does a good once-a-weeker.

You're not that poor if you spend your money on beer and cigs. The girls need to be able to shower daily.
If you read the article it isnt about poverty but conservation. An avg shower takes about 30 gallons of water. Every lil bit helps. To negate the water useage is why Trash has the rain water collection tanks and the snow melt tank.
Conserve water and then puff out second hand smoke?
After twenty years in the Navy, my Dad still took "Navy showers" or less until the day he died.
I think if we all had to walk down a hill, fill a bucket with water, heat it over a wood stove, then bathe, we'd bathe a lot less.
Not sure I'd wanna ride the bus in the summer with myself. Ha Ha
If you reead the articles that were linked to, showering daily isn't necessarily that great for the natural processes of the body.
