work is so much fun

Especially when you see the seeds growing and the potential for homegrown food. During coffee this morning I photo'd some of the garden and will post them later on . We got some real good rain last night as well as some hail. Not big enuf to do any damage but good stuff. Filled up a few more cisterns for later useage. I swear there is God fertilizer in rain because the plants grown better in rain water than mans treated tap water.

Finally getting some rain

A nice downpour this evening.. The garden will love it.. I hate using the hose when I can use gods water to nourish the plants.. I am also refilling the cisterns for use afterwards again.. I was down to about 10 gallons of rain water.. So this is good.. Let it rain.
I have lots of gardening projects to get a move on this weekend.

Rain Rain dont go away.

Almost the weekend...

Went home last night and the spinach is wilting.. Too much sun and heat. MOved the flat into a different micr-climate in the stead and we shall see. This morning it looked a tad better.

The beans, lima and green are taking off as are the cukes. I cant wait for some good harvesting later on for next winter..
Still working on plans for the potential greenhouse/shed in the side yard that needs to get built. HOwever I need more free time and alot of free materials to accomplish this project.

Saturday in the garden

Twas rather hot yesterday (between 80-90) and tha garden was hot. cukes, suchs and the like are popping thru the soil. The beans are alsom kmaking a presence. Greens abound.
Put a new seat on the dumpie bike and prepped a few more containers for growth potential.
Did some minor maintenance around the stead and drank a lot of water and lemonade as the heat took hold.
It is supposed to cool down today a tad (only in the 70s.. I really hope so.
