MidWInter uppdate

It has been over 6 months now that we are living in Clara. We have made it thru high winds, snow, ice and cold weather with nary an issue. Early on in winter we had several freezes in the pipes because of the cold. I installed a $12 space heater with thermostat in the bay and now anytime it gets to below 50 degrees the heater kicks on and keeps the pipes warm. This idea was one we got from a blog post we found somewhere.  Works well.

The other issue keeping us in the park was that on New Years DAy evening Mrs T was having issues breathing while she fought the dreaded cold flu and Pneumonia. 3 days later she was released from the hospital with a diagnosis of exasurbated COPD.  NOw we have an oxygen concentrator in the RV and portable tanks inhalors for when she goes outside. This doesnt occur very often as the cold air   does not agree with her very well. 

But alas the fireplace and a couple of space heaters along with blankets on the windows help keep the RV toasty. Mrs T is frustrated but content and is enjoying the video games videos and sewing in oher home.  We even rigged the shower for her so she does not have to go to the community showers. Anything for Mrs T.

Ideas are being kicked around for some spring and summer travel. The son has gotten a job and the daughter in law is on a career path at the nursing home. They too are adjusting.

After many years of residential living in a large space I am enjoying the RV life.  Maintenance issues are small and relatively inexpensive when they do occur.

I know its been a while but fall and winter are a busy time for me at work so not much free time to enjoy the writing of this blog. The heart surgery seems to be holding even as my cheating has increased. I again smoke my pipe away from the home and eat foods I prob shouldnt but as I have always said  "Everything in moderation".
